Did you know you can replace the eggs in any baked good {or at least all the ones I’ve tried!} with a ground flaxseed and water mixture?
{replaces 1 egg}
Ingredients
1 tablespoon ground flaxseed*
3 tablespoons water
Directions
Whisk together the ground flaxseed and water. Let sit for 5-10 minutes. The mixture will become gummy – very similar to the consistency of an egg. Then just add it to the recipe just like you would eggs.
*You can either buy pre-ground flaxseeds, or buy the raw whole seeds like I do and grind them in a Blendtec or Magic Bullet. If you grind your own, you just need to blend until they become a fine powder. If you grind extras, keep in an airtight container in the fridge.
