Homemade Greek Yogurt Ranch Dip –ย This simple, healthy dip is perfect for dipping vegetables or even chips. High in protein, low in calories and made with only real food ingredients!
Last week I shared over on the Rhodes Kids Blog I shared this super fun Bunny Shaped Bread with a spot for dip and surrounded with veggies. This homemade greek yogurt ranch dip is the perfect healthy addition to that fun edible dip bowl. You can find that right HERE.
Truth: My family will eat just about anything they can dunk in ranch dip. ๐
The problem is, the original is loaded with calories, sodium, and all kinds of artificial ingredients. Not exactly a healthy addition to veggies.
This incredibly simple homemade greek yogurt ranch dip is the perfect solution! Just as delicious as the store bought version, but high in protein, low in calories and made with only real food ingredients! You can feel good about feeding this one to your family and letting them dip to their hearts content.
One little tip before I share the recipe:
Make sure you use a greek yogurt that you like all by itself. ๐ Different brands of greek yogurt have different flavors and textures. I tried some that have a strong sour taste and some that are mild, some that are thicker and some that tend to be more runny. My two favorite brands are Chobani and the Kirkland brand from Costco. They both have a creamy texture and a nice mild flavor.
And, of course, make sure you use the plain variety. A fruit or even vanilla flavored yogurt would definitely mess this one up.
- 1 cup plain greek yogurt
- 2 teaspoons dried parsley
- ½ teaspoon dried dill weed
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ⅓ teaspoon ground black pepper
- ⅓ teaspoon dried chives
- ⅓ teaspoon salt
- Mix together dry ingredients in a small bowl until combined.
- Add dry ingredients to the greek yogurt and mix well. Serve immediately, or refrigerate in an airtight container.
